If you are looking for GTA IV car packs look here, we also have covered the best mods for GTA 4 here (not all car related).
If you want to know what the fastest car in GTA 5 is read our full guide.
Bored of the standard game. Here is how to set up RP Servers in GTA 5.
McLaren P1
I’ll kick things off with my personal favorite from the list, which is the incredible McLaren P1. With over 900 horsepower at the wheels and an extremely lightweight chassis, McLaren’s first hybrid hypercar has to be one of the coolest cars ever made.
Built to compete with the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche’s 918 Spyder, the P1 often outperformed both in several real-life tests. The reason why I love this mod, in particular, is because of how extremely detailed it is though.
It was modeled after the P1 from Assetto Corsa and Project Cars. The guy who converted it for GTA 5, who goes by the name of ‘AIGE’ online, did a spectacular job. It’s about as close to perfection as you can get at recreating the real thing in the virtual world.
Mercedes G65 AMG GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
I think the Mercedes G65 AMG remains, to this very day, one of the most unusual vehicles ever built. On paper, it’s a car which doesn’t make a lot of sense.
It’s a V12-engined box on wheels that is based on a car designed in the late 1970s. it has the aerodynamic properties of a brick and the center of gravity of the leaning tower in Pisa.
And yet, that’s exactly why we all love it so much because it’s as bonkers as cars get. This GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod is an accurate portrayal of the real-life thing because it’s somewhat quick, but more to the point, it’s one of the hottest cars in the game.
Ford Mustang GT RTR Spec5
If you’re a fan of muscle cars but you also like drifting, look no further than the Ford Mustang GT RTR Spec5. Developed and built by Vaught Gittin Jr., who just won his second Formula Drift championship title, it’s the perfect car if you like throwing it sideways.
My personal favorite color combination in real life, as well as the game, is the matte grey paint finish with the lime-green wheels.
I know Mustangs get a bad rep for crashing into crowds (blame the owners), but this is one Mustang that is definitely more of a sports car than it is a muscle car.
Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
If you’re a fan of JDM culture and Japanese imports in particular, what better way to satisfy your GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod thirst than an authentic Nissan R34 GT-R?
Made famous by Paul Walker in the Fast and Furious franchise, this is one JDM legend that’s sadly not available in the US because of import laws.
Luckily, with this mod, you get to experience what it’d be like to drive one and race it down city streets without serious repercussions if you crash. It’s a great mod with an excellent model and one which I highly recommend simply because of how cool R34s are.
Ferrari 458 Italia
The Ferrari 458 is one of those cars which is impossible to hate. It’s one of the prettiest Ferraris ever built and it’s also the car that turned the brand into what it is today.
Its predecessor, the Ferrari F430, was no slouch, but the 458 is on an entirely new level. It looks good in every color combination, and I think this GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod will reflect that in the game.
If you’ve always wanted to drive a 4.5-liter V8-engined Ferrari but couldn’t afford to do so in real life, you can now at least do that in the game.
KoRn Car Pack GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
If you want a simple mod with a ton of cars, KoRn’s version is arguably the best out there. It combines several dozen different cars from various manufacturers all in one file, so you don’t have to bother with individual cars if you don’t have the time or patience for that.
You can find KoRn’s GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod here, but do note that you’ll have to adjust the Gameconfig file in order to stop the game from crashing. The link does a great job of explaining how to do that, as well as highlighting all of the cars in the pack, some of which include a Mercedes CLS63, a Bugatti Chiron Sport, and a Ferrari 812 Superfast, and a lot more.
Audi RS7 Sportback
If you’re an avid Audi fan you’re probably aware of the Audi RS7. Built to compete with the CLS63 AMG and the M6 Gran Coupe, the RS7 is without a doubt the most aggressive-looking car of the bunch.
It has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 packing over 500 horsepower, and it sends its power to the ground through all four wheels and Audi’s amazing Quattro AWD system.
True to its real-life counterpart, the in-game RS7 is one of the most striking mods you can download and install.
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
Speaking of striking, there’s definitely one car that outclasses the RS7 when it comes to turning heads, and that’s the Lamborghini Aventador.
It has a screaming V12 with, as its name might suggest, 700 horsepower, and it’ll hit 62 mph in under 3 seconds. Finished in lime-green, it’s probably the most obnoxious and overstated car money can buy. But then again, it’s a Lamborghini, and that’s kind of the point, isn’t it?
BMW F82 M4
The BMW M4 is a sports car that is unapologetically good-looking. Built as a successor to the iconic E92 M3, the M4 is the next step up in terms of performance and looks.
Packing over 400 horsepower thanks to its 3.0-liter twin-turbo straight-six, this GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod is as quick as the car is in real life.
The model used for the mod is taken from Assetto Corsa but it’s been updated with bespoke, custom-made tuning parts for GTA 5. To that end, the attention to detail is superb and the car really does stand out from the rest.
Bugatti Veyron GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
Being the first production car to crack the legendary 250 mph barrier, the Bugatti Veyron is a cool car in every sense of the word. It was also the first production car to produce over 1000 horsepower, thanks to its 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine.
Of course, the game variant is ridiculously quick, just like the real thing, but I love this GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod because it has a working automatic spoiler, which must have been difficult to implement.
If you like the Veyron, you’ll love how detailed the mod is and the wild paint schemes, most of which are two-tone.
Nissan GT-R
You can talk about GTA 5 Realistic Car Mods and not mention the Nissan GT-R, arguably the most popular tuning car ever built. It can be found all over the motorsports world, used as drift cars, race cars, track cars… you name it.
This particular mod is a ‘plain’ 2017 Nissan GT-R, but plain in Godzilla’s world still means incredibly fast and exciting. It has a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 with over 550 horsepower and an AWD system to send all that power to the ground.
Even now, over ten years after the GT-R made its initial debut, it’s still an exciting car that turns heads wherever it goes.
Realistic Driving V GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
If you’re a fan of realistic car behavior and prefer more life-like simulation driving over arcade-style steering, then Realistic Driving V is definitely the GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod for you.
It changes the game files to make the cars have more realistic driving physics and predictable dynamic capabilities. As such, they might not be as quick as you’re expecting some of them to be, and their turning might be ‘worse’ compared to before, but once you get used to it, it’s hard to go back.
There’s one caveat with this mod though: you have to use the vanilla cars in order for it to work. Because custom cars have different models with different physics, this mod can’t compensate for that and it will therefore not work with custom cars.
Rolls-Royce Dawn
If you’re a man of taste and style and prefer to roll around in luxury and comfort, then you’ll definitely love this Rolls-Royce Dawn mod. It’s the ultimate way to travel in style, especially since this is a two-door variant of the Wraith.
Its V12 engine is built to be refined and smooth, not aggressive or too powerful. It’s therefore silky-smooth, perfectly complimenting the car’s ride and plushness.
This car mod comes with some truly unique color combos, but my personal favorite is the red paint scheme with the silver wheels. When’s the last time you saw a red Rolls-Royce? Exactly, probably never, which is a shame because it looks so good.
Audi R8 V10 GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
The Audi R8 is a little bit like the Golf of the supercar world, and I mean that in the best way possible. It’s a car that does everything Ferraris and Lamborghinis can do, and then some, but it’s not too shouty or extravagant.
It’s a car you could genuinely daily drive if you wanted to, but it still attracts just enough attention to make it feel special. Open the taps on the V10 engine though, and you’ll probably get noticed from a mile away.
This GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod uses models from NFS Rivals and Forza Motorsports 4 to create a life-like representation of the real car in the game.
Real Brand Rims Pack
If you’re a bit of a car geek like me, a gearhead even, you probably like to obsess over the smallest details. I think wheels can make or break a car, so it’s vital for me that a car has the right wheels on.
This Real Wheels Pack gives you the opportunity of fitting real-world wheels to any car mod in the game, and you can even customize the tires if you’re really looking to get your hands dirty and delve deep.
I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you like playing around with cars and seeing what looks best, I urge you to get this mod because it was a ground-breaking experience for me.
Shelby Mustang GT500 GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
Everyone loves a classic Mustang fastback, right? Well, as it turns out, someone likes classic Mustangs (like the famous Gone in 60 Seconds car) so much that they decided to fabricate a completely custom-built Shelby Mustang GT500 one-off for the game.
Featuring an aggressive body kit with flared arches, special wheels with massive offset, and even a roll cage, this Mustang represents what a true race car for the road looks like.
Finished in orange with black stripes, it’s arguably as capable of turning heads as that lime Lambo we highlighted earlier, if not more.
Koenigsegg Agera One:1
Named because of its ideal power-to-weight ratio, namely 1 kilogram for every horsepower, the Koenigsegg Agera One:1 is a Swedish hypercar. It took on the might of Ferrari, Bugatti, Porsche, and the like, and beat them at their own game.
The author of this mod only released it as a thank you for surpassing one million mod downloads, so it goes without saying that the model is incredibly detailed and the car is spectacular in every way.
It’s so well-built, in fact, that even Christian von Koenigsegg, the company’s founder, would be extremely proud of how accurate his car is portrayed in the game.
100 Bikes Add-On Compilation Pack GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
As its name might suggest, this is a mod that adds 100 different bikes to your game with a single download. It’s not like the bikes are all random or fantasy creations either.
The 100 Bikes Add-on pack is a GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod that features some of the most popular sportbikes ever, including BMW’s S1000 RR and Suzuki’s GSX-R. If you’re a fan of two wheels as much as four, then you’ll want to get this pack as it is absolutely superb.
The link I outlined explains how to modify the Gameconfig files to stop the game from crashing and make the mod work as intended. It even tells you how to spawn bikes on-demand and which mod to use for that.
Ford F-150 Raptor
Just like the G65 featured earlier, I know a lot of people don’t get the appeal of the Raptor, but think about it for a minute.
What other car do you know of that can scale practically any off-road trail, go over any rock garden feature, and still have a decently-sized bed in the back?
There’s a reason why the Ford F-150 Raptor is considered to be one of the most capable production off-road vehicles ever made, and true to its real-life counterpart, this GTA 5 mod is just as keen on going off-road.
Porsche 911 Turbo S GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
Remember how I said earlier that the Audi R8 is the Golf of the supercar world? Well, if there’s one car that can fly under the radar even better than the R8, it would have to be the Porsche 911 Turbo S.
From the outside, it looks just like a regular Carrera to most people. If you don’t know what to look for, you might think it’s a normal 911, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Packing over 550 horsepower from its twin-turbocharged flat-six, the Turbo S disperses speed and performance with ruthless German efficiency. In the real world, a 911 Turbo S is one of the quickest cars you can come across.
The way these things cover ground come rain or shine beggars belief. This GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod uses the model from Assetto Corsa, so it’s an accurate portrayal of the real-life version too.
Honda Civic Type-R FK8
To show you that it’s not all about supercars and hypercars, I’ve decided to include a really quick FWD hot hatch in this list. The Honda Civic Type-R is, pound for pound, or dollar for dollar if you prefer, one of the best cars money can buy.
It’s got enough power, it’s great in the corners, and the aftermarket tuning scene is immense. If you can live with its bold looks and aggressive styling, you should definitely download this mod because I know you’ll enjoy it.
Sometimes you don’t want to drive a supercar because, really, at a certain point, you want to switch things up and enjoy something else for a change. When that time comes, you’ll be glad you got this mod.
BMW M5 E39 GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
The E39 BMW M5 is, in my opinion, the best M5 to ever come out of Bavaria. Sure, I love the E60’s V10 engine as much as the next guy, but they were notoriously unreliable to own and maintain.
The E39 on the other hand is a real peach to use. It’s got a sweet free-revving naturally-aspirated V8, an engine designed with both comfort and performance in mind, and a design that renders it an instant classic.
This model was taken from Forza and SGDesign, and it was converted by zQrba who, might I add, did a phenomenal job.
Dodge Charger
I wanted to include some American muscle in this list but I didn’t want it to be a Camaro or Challenger since they’re too predictable, and I’ve already covered the Mustang. That left me with one choice really: the Dodge Charger.
Essentially a four-door Challenger, I’ve always been a fan of the Charger because of how brutish and robust it is. It doesn’t hide the fact that it’s a bit crude and rough around the edges.
This mod gives you the choice to select between various Charger trims, including SXT, R/T, SRT 392, 4.7, and the Hellcat. If it was up to me, I’d take the Hellcat and run with it.
This mod uses several different model sources, including Forza Motorsport 4. It’s extremely well-done, so much so that it even features breakable glass, a high-quality engine bay, a real-life light setup, and accurate dials.
Dodge SRT Viper ACR (T/A) GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
The last iteration of the Viper showcased that US-made supercars aren’t just built for straight-line performance. The SRT Viper ACR (T/A) was a special track-ready weapon Dodge decided to build just to show the world that they can.
In various real-life tests and reviews, the Viper actually dominated most cars from Ferrari and Porsche, only getting outclassed by true multi-million dollar hypercars.
Much like the Charger, it’s a car that doesn’t have a lot of ‘charm’. It doesn’t have a sonorous V10 engine note nor is the exterior particularly pretty to look at, but the way it can demolish a track and deliver performance in and of itself actually makes it, weirdly, extremely characterful.
Better Deformation + Durable Cars Mod
This is a realism mod that is all about making cars crash more realistically and as authentically to real life as possible. If you’re a fan of simulations, then this GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod delivers that in spades.
The author of the mod highlights the changes he’s made and how to install it, and you can find it all in the link I’ve included above.

FAQs On A GTA 5 Realistic Car Mod
If you’re still curious to learn more about a GTA 5 realistic car mod, our FAQs here might have what you’re looking for…
How To Mod GTA 5
For the longest time, Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular games to mod. To get started, all you need is to download Script Hook V and a GTAV LUA Plugin. Script Hook V is an important tool, allowing modders to create mods and attach them to GTA 5. In particular, GTA V’s single-player mode. Just download Script Hook V, and look inside the BIN folder of the ZIP file that you just downloaded. You’ll find a DLL file (named ScriptHookV.dll) which you need to copy and paste into the main GTA V game folder. You’ll also need to copy over the dsound.dll file from the Script Hook V ASI Loader folder. Next up, you’ll need to get the LUA Plugin tool. Download this, and find the SCRIPTS folder and a LUA.asi file within the ZIP file. Now, copy them into the main GTA V game folder.
How To Get Mods On GTA 5
Continuing on from our previous point, look at the LUA Plugin ADDINS folder that you just copied into the main GTA V game folder. This is where you need to drop mods into if you want to add them to the game. Specifically, most mods will include LUA files that you’ll have to copy and paste into this ADDINS folder to get them running. Once that’s done, just boot up the game, and the mods should start working. As to where you can get mods for GTA 5, there are plenty of websites that host them where you can download one. The most popular among them is gta5-mods.com, which hosts a bucket load of mods to try out. Once you’ve found the mod that you want, download it, and it should include some instructions on how to install it. Generally, it’s as easy as copying over an ASI file.
Most Customizable Cars In GTA 5
Some of the most recent updates for GTA V are solely centered around customizing and modifying cars, without even needing a GTA 5 realistic car mod. So much so, that GTA 5 almost passes off as a Need for Speed game with RPG elements around it. Although, some cars are more fun to customize than others. Perhaps my favorite is the Karin 190z, where there are over 150 different modification options available. Nearly as extensive is the Dinka Jester RR, which already has ample performance to start with, but could be even better with some aftermarket tuning. The Annis Euros is another great car to customize in GTA 5, with more than 200 modification options to pick and choose from. If you prefer a muscle car instead, then the Bravado Gauntlet Classic Custom should suit your needs with its extensive customization selection.
How To Buy Cars In GTA 5
Cars are a core part of the GTA 5 experience, made better once you consider installing a GTA realistic car mod. The typical route for getting a car in GTA is simply by stealing it. To take possession of it, simply bring that newly-stolen car to a Los Santos Customs shop and install a tracker on it. This now makes it rightfully your car. If you want to get a rare and special car or prefer to not steal it, you could of course buy one. Just bring up the in-game smartphone, click on the browser, and head to the Travel and Transporation page. You can then find numerous car dealers with a variety of unique selections. Some offer classic cars, while others sell specialty military vehicles. Choose a car from either one, and they’ll have that car delivered to your garage.
GTA Cars In Real Life
One of the most fascinating aspects of Grand Theft Auto games is the cars that they feature. Unlike racing games, for example, the GTA franchise hasn’t been able to license the rights to use any real cars in their game. Hence, why you see a lot of cars in GTA that look similar to real-world cars but have subtle differences. Mainly, they carry a different name and minor styling variations. Some of these GTA cars are very different from their real-world counterparts. For example, the Invetero Coquette doesn’t really look like the C7 Corvette that it’s based on. Yet, Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire looks uncannily similar to a real Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. The designers and developers behind GTA occasionally create their own cars for the game too, which doesn’t have any equivalents in the real world.
